Colourful Wooden Plaque & Stand

These adorable plaques have so many uses! Use them to welcome people to your home or set the mood for your lounge room. Kids would love to have one for their bedroom door!

Search terms: welcome home, name plaque, alien, monster, no place like home.

  • Step 1Assemble your wooden stand by sliding the 2 pieces together. Secure with glue. Allow to dry.
  • Step 2Give your plaque and stand a coat of white paint. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Paint your plaque and stand with bright colours. Allow to dry.
  • You may like to use chalkboard paint instead of regular paint!
  • Step 5Sketch out your design onto a piece of paper before you start to decorate your plaque.
  • Step 6Once you have a design, transfer it lightly onto your plaque using a pencil.
  • Step 7Cut out a variety of shapes using adhesive foam and decorate your plaque. Look to our design for inspiration or come up with your own.
  • If you have used chalkboard paint, draw on additional detail with chalk.
