  • Step 1

Paint your wooden door hanger and allow to dry. You may need to do an extra coat of paint if you want it to be really bright.

  • Step 2

Using the template provided at the top of the page, cut out the boat shape and paint it orange. Cut out the Dad shape and paint it black. Let the paint dry.

  • Step 3

Paint the fish in bright colours and glue on a small wiggle eye. Allow to dry.

  • Step 4

Grab a wooden skewer and glue it to your door hanger at an angle. Let the end of the skewer hang off the edge slightly.

  • Step 5

Wrap a piece of wool to the end of the skewer and glue in place. Leave about 10cm of wool hanging off the skewer.

  • Step 6

Glue the back of the fish’s mouth to the end of the wool so it looks like the fish has been caught!

  • Step 7

Glue the Dad shape down the bottom of your door hanger, just over lapping the end of the skewer so it looks like he is holding a fishing rod.

  • Step 8

Glue the boat onto the hanger and finish your door hanger by painting some seagulls in white paint.

  • Step 9

Allow the glue to dry completely before hanging your hanger on a door handle.
