Glass & Porcelain Marker Tips

Use the tips below to make working with our Glass & Porcelain Markers a breeze!

  • Step 1Store your markers horizontally (flat).
  • Step 2Always replace the cap immediately after using, even if you are just taking a short break. This will stop the ink from drying out.
  • Step 3Shake your markers well before use.
  • Step 4Press the tip of your marker gently & repeatedly to start the ink flow. Do this on some scrap paper, you may need to repeat this step each time you use your markers to get the ink flowing!

  • Remember when baking your object, DO NOT pre-heat the oven. The difference in temperature may cause your porcelain or glass to crack. Instead, put your object in a cold oven, then turn the oven on.
  • Step 7Once dry, place your porcelain or glass object in a cold household oven. Once the temperature has reached 160°C, bake your porcelain or glass object for 90 minutes to heat set your design.
