Aboriginal Ochre is a traditional form of paint. White ochre was traditionally easily sourced locally in most parts of Australia and therefore was available to be used by all mob within the community. Traditionally, white ochre is used on the body during ceremony, but can also be used during play and the creation of art.
Ochre will be provided in its natural state, similar to the image displayed, and will need to be crushed into a fine powder prior to using. Once crushed, simply mix with water and PVA glue for a beautiful natural paint. Colour will vary. Please note: as ochre is a natural product, some foreign objects may be present.
