Though the history of the rain stick is unclear, a common belief is that they originated from South America. This activity is great for accompanying stories such as Big Rain Coming* or the tale of Tiddalik the Frog from Indigenous Dreamtime Stories.
Indigenous Artist Kerri-Ann Taggart explains the story behind her template design:
"Bird people - dancing. As you move the rainstick the figures move along with the sound and motion of the stick. Like a Brolga dancing, wings out."
Our CleverKits are perfect for small and large groups alike as each kit is sold and packaged individually - simply distribute the CleverKits and you're ready to start creating!
