3D Spider Artwork

Step 1Take two black chenille stems and cut each one into four equal lengths. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Use tacky glue to attach four chenille stem pieces to each side of a large pom pom to create the spider’s legs. Allow to dry before bending slightly as shown.
Step 2Glue two wiggle eyes to the front of the pom pom. Cut a small length of chenille stem and bend to create a mouth. Glue just below the eyes to complete your spider’s face. Allow to dry.
Step 3Mix a small drop of blue paint into white to create a pale blue. Paint your canvas with this mixture and allow to dry.
Step 4Lightly sketch out a web design onto your canvas with a pencil. Trace over your sketch lines with glue.
Step 5While still wet, shake glitter over the lines of glue. To reduce mess, place the canvas on some scrap paper before shaking the glitter.
Step 6Cover the glue with patches of different coloured glitter to create a multi-coloured web!
Step 7Shake off the excess glitter and allow to dry.
Step 8Glue the pom pom spider to the canvas on its sparkly web. Allow to dry.
Step 9Your 3D Spider Artwork is now ready to display!
