Step 1Paint the head and hands of your 3D Wooden Person in a skin tone colour. Paint the shoes black and allow to dry.
Step 2Using the templates provided cut out your soldiers uniform and hat. We used green BRENEX paper for his hat, jacket, collar and pants. We chose brown BRENEX paper for his shirt and hat band. Finally we used black felt for his belt.
Step 3Using coloured markers, colour 4 strips on the white paper (0.5 x 1cm) to create the medallion ribbons. Cut a small square (0.5 x 0.5cm) of corrugated board.
Step 4Use glue to attach the board to the soldier’s hat to create a badge. Use glue to attach all of the clothing items to your wooden soldier. Attach the clothes in the following order: pants, shirt, jacket, right/left collar, belt, hat and hat band.
Step 5Add sequins to create buttons and medallions. Attach with glue.
Step 6Cut a piece of black yarn (9cm). Use glue to attach the yarn to your soldier’s face, creating a strap for his hat.
Step 7Finally, attach wiggle eyes with glue and use a marker to draw on a nose and mouth
