Commemorative Craft - Lest We Forget Lantern

Lighting a candle to remember those we have lost is a common custom for people all around the world. These special Lanterns are the perfect way to pay your respects and commemorate with craft this ANZAC Day
  • Step 1 Tear a strip of each colour of your tissue paper making sure that it is long enough to wrap once around your jar.
  • Step 2 Use a paint brush to brush a layer of Mod Podge around the bottom of the jar. Stick the yellow strip of tissue paper around the jar and then carefully apply another coat of mod lodge over the top.
  • Step 3 Print out the Template and cut it out with scissors. Roll the template into a cylinder and place inside the jar. It should sit firmly against the glass (you may wish to secure lightly with tape) so you can see the black outline through the tissue paper. Use your black CleverPatch Glass and Porcelain marker to trace the template onto the outside of the jar.
  • Step 4 Remove the template from within the jar, place the Battery LED Tealight Candle inside and watch your lantern glow. NOTE: Only use a Battery LED Tealight for this project as it is not suitable for a naked flame.
