Step 1Add colour to a wooden circle shape using easy painters. These make decorating easy and relatively mess free! Think about colours that will blend and work well together. Allow to dry.
Step 2Find the alphabet beads needed to spell out the phrase or name you would like to add to your gift tag. We’ve related ours to the compass, but you may just want to add something like ‘I Love You’ Arrange the beads in place on top of the decorated wooden circle, being mindful of where the compass will need to sit. When you are happy with the position, glue them down using tacky glue. Allow to dry.
Step 3Cut a 15-20cm length of waxed thread. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Use a cow hitch knot to attach the compass to the wooden circle through the hole in the top. Pull the knot tight so the compass hangs in the middle of the circle. Your Compass Gift Tag is now ready to add to a gift for someone special!
Don’t forget to add a design to the back of the compass itself using the included sticker. You can also write a message or To and From on the back of the wooden gift tag with a permanent pen!
