Step 1 Print out your About Me BLM as many times as needed on cover paper. The template is set up to accomodate 3 students per page. Cut along the dotted lines and distribute a copy to each child.
Step 2 Paint the frame white, this will serve as an undercoat. Allow to dry.
Step 3 We have chosen to paint the frame orange as it is the colour that signifies Harmony Day. Allow to dry.
Step 4 Whilst waiting for the frames to dry, the children can fill in their personal details listed on the BLM. Once completed, glue their photo on the back side of the information. Alternatively each child could illustrate a self-portrait in the template provided.
Step 5 Glue the inside edge of your painted wooden frame and place your BLM photo side down onto the glue. Make sure your information is showing, like in our image above. Allow to dry.
Step 6 Sort through the Alphabet Pony Beads to find the letters required to spell out 'Everyone Belongs', this year's Harmony Day Theme. Arrange the beads so that they run along the bottom of the frame. Once you are happy with the layout of the beads, stick each one down using PVA glue. Allow to dry. Alternatively each child could write this using a permanent marker.
Step 7 Tie a piece of twine through the top of the frame. Your Belonging Frame is now ready to hang! Our Giant Wooden Display Tree is also a great resource to hang your frames on – as pictured.
