My Flower Garden

Download Activity Template
Create a lovely, no maintenance garden with our 3D Wooden Flowerbed and template! A perfect gift or decoration that will bring colour and joy year-round.
  • Step 1Download and print the supplied template. We recommended printing onto cardboard to provide a sturdy surface for decoration and construction.
  • Step 2Assemble your 3D Wooden Flowerbed. For assembly tips, watch our video. You may need to use glue for permanent assembly. Allow to dry if needed.
  • Step 3Decorate your printed template and 3D Wooden Flowerbed using your chosen craft materials. Allow to dry if needed.
  • Step 4Use scissors to cut out the pieces of the template. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
  • Step 5Fold in the tabs on each length of grass. Glue the tabs of the pieces with the shorter grass blades to the side panels on the inside of the flowerbed. Position them so they are pressed against edge of the flowerbed. Allow to dry.
  • Step 6Position the pieces with taller grass blades in between the short grass pieces on either side of the flowers. Secure the tabs with glue to the side panels on the inside of the flowerbed. Allow to dry.
  • Step 7To create a spring for the bee and butterfly, cut a 30cm length of beading wire then twist it tightly around a pencil. Remove the coil from the pencil and stretch it out slightly. Repeat to create a second spring.
  • Step 8Attach one end of each spring to the back of each insect piece with tape. Flatten out 2cm of each spring at the opposite end and attach to the base of your flowerbed with sticky tape. Bend your springs gently to position your bee and butterfly into place. Use glue to attach your snail to the outside of your flowerbed. Allow to dry.
  • Step 9Your Flower Garden is now ready to gift or display!
