  • Step 1Begin by researching the dreamtime story ‘The Bat and the Crocodile’. Think about the characters in this story and plan out your design. You can base this activity on any of the characters from the story, we chose the crocodile.
  • Step 2Break off a chunk of clay and begin moulding the clay into the shape of your design.
  • If your clay begins to dry out throughout the process, dip your hands in water and wet the clay slightly.
  • Step 4Sit your clay in a warm dry place for approximately 48 hours and allow to dry. Rotate the project a couple of times throughout the process to ensure it dries evenly.
  • Step 5Look to the story for inspiration when adding colour to your project. Paint your design with bright colours. Allow to dry.
