Duck Pond Ring Holder

Step 1Use a blue Glass & Porcelain Marker to draw a squiggly line around the inside of your Porcelain Heart Dish - this will be the outline of your duck’s pond. Colour in the outline of your pond then allow to dry.
Step 2Bake your dish according to the instructions on the marker pack to heat set your design. Adult supervision is recommended when using an oven.
Step 3To model your duck, first roll a 4cm ball of yellow Super Light Air Dry Clay. Mould the ball into an egg shape and slightly flatten the top and two longer sides. Pinch the back upwards to create a tear-drop shape. This will be your duck’s body and tail.
Step 4To make your duck’s wings, roll two 1cm balls of yellow clay. Flatten each one into a thick oval and pinch the back to make tear-drop shapes. Press one wing onto each side of your duck’s body.
Step 5To make your duck’s head, roll a 2cm ball of clay and press it on top at the front of your duck’s body.
Step 6To make your duck’s beak, create two small orange clay triangles and press them onto the front of the head.
Step 7To make your duck’s eyes, roll two tiny balls of black clay and flatten them. Roll two even smaller white clay balls and flatten one onto each black disc. Press the eyes to the front of your duck’s head above the beak. Allow your clay duck to dry completely.
Step 8Use a glue gun to attach your duck to the middle of your dish and allow it to dry. Adult supervision is recommended when using a glue gun.
Step 9Your Duck Pond Ring Holder is now ready to gift!
