Pom Pom Monsters

These monsters are out of this world! Go crazy with your imagination and see what you can come up with! These monsters can be created in a number of ways. Use the steps below as a decorative guide and mix up the techniques to create a unique combination of your own!

  • Step 1Sketch out your monster designs onto a piece of paper before you start. This is not essential but helps with planning. Look to our designs for inspiration or come up with your own!
  • Step 2Cut out a base for your monster using a piece of foam. You may like to cut it into a monster feet shape.
  • Make the base quite large so your monster is able to balance.
  • Step 4Use hot glue to attach your pom poms to the foam base and to each other.
  • You may need an adult’s help for this step.
  • Step 6Push the chenille stems into the pom poms to create arms, legs and antennae. Attach with glue.
  • Step 7Attach eyes with glue. Allow to dry.
  • Step 8Cut out little shapes from foam to create noses and mouths. Attach with glue.
