Step 1Give the clock a coat of white paint. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting. Allow to dry.
Step 2Lightly sketch with a pencil on your cat’s tummy, the location of the clock markings and the glitter stripes.
Step 3Paint the body of the cat orange and his tummy pink. Allow to dry.
Step 4Paint the template shapes provided orange. Paint the inside of the ears pink. Allow to dry.
Step 5Cut out the shapes and glue them to your cat clock. Look to our design above for placement.
Step 6Paint with glue the area where you want the glitter stripes and sprinkle glitter while it is wet. Shake off excess glitter.
Step 7Use black paint to add the clock markings and facial features of the cat. Allow to dry.
Step 8Use white paint to add teeth as a final touch.
Step 9To assemble the clock hands, place the back washer onto the shaft.
Step 10Place the clock movement onto the clock face.
Step 11Lock the clock movement in place with the gold washer and then the gold nut.
Step 12Remove the plastic coating from the clock hands.
Step 13Place the hour hand onto the shaft, then the minute hand and finally the second hand.
Step 14Insert AA batteries into the clock movement and test the clock.
Step 15Your farm cat clock is now ready to use!
