Step 1Paint your cardboard roll using watercolour paint. Allow to dry.
Step 2Glue an oval branch offcut to the bottom of the cylinder to represent a door and use a marker to add a door handle.
Step 3Glue two small driftwood branches on to the sides of the cylinder.
Although normal PVA glue will work, we recommend using a hot glue gun as it is quicker and simpler to attach the pieces. Adult assistance required.
Step 5To create the roof trace a circle onto the cover paper using a dinner plate or something of similar size, and then cut it out. Cut the circle into two pieces. One slightly larger than the other.
Your main piece should be slightly smaller than two thirds of the circle.
Step 7Cover the larger piece with the spider mesh.
Step 8Roll your roof into a cone shape. Attach with tape.
Step 9Glue the cone onto the birdhouse and decorate the branches with foam bird stickers. Your beautiful birdhouse is complete!
