  • Clever Tip

This activity is as simple or as complex as you make it! Simply research different images you’d like to draw before you begin.

  • Step 1

Draw your design onto your piece of cardboard with pencil.

  • Step 2

When you are happy with your drawing, trace it with a marker. Try varying the weights of the markers you use to create interest in your design.

  • Step 3

Carefully cut around the shape of your drawing.

  • Step 4

Create a stand for your drawing by cutting out a long rectangle from cardboard. Make sure the width is no wider than your drawing.

  • Step 5

Fold the cardboard rectangle in thirds to make a triangular stand. Tape to secure.

  • Step 6

Tape the stand to the back of your drawing so that it can stand on its own!
