Create this simple yet beautiful natural birdhouse. You may even like to see what you have lying around the house that you could recycle into even more creative and inspiring bird houses!
Paint your cardboard roll using watercolour paint. Allow to dry.
Glue an oval branch offcut to the bottom of the cylinder to represent a door and use a marker to add a door handle.
Glue two small driftwood branches on to the sides of the cylinder.
Although normal PVA glue will work, we recommend using a hot glue gun as it is quicker and simpler to attach the pieces. Adult assistance required.
To create the roof trace a circle onto the cover paper using a dinner plate or something of similar size, and then cut it out. Cut the circle into two pieces. One slightly larger than the other.
Your main piece should be slightly smaller than two thirds of the circle.
Cover the larger piece with the spider mesh.
Roll your roof into a cone shape. Attach with tape.
Glue the cone onto the birdhouse and decorate the branches with foam bird stickers. Your beautiful birdhouse is complete!
