Step 1Pop the windmill head out from the card.
Step 2Sketch out your design onto a piece of paper before you start to decorate your windmill. Once you have a design, transfer it lightly onto your windmill using a pencil. This is not essential, but helps with planning your design.
Step 3Use coloured markers to apply your design to the windmill. Allow to dry.
Step 4Assemble the windmill by placing the skinny end of the plastic shaft through the centre of the windmill.
Step 5Pull one sail of the windmill down onto the plastic shaft. Thread the shaft through the pre-cut holes. Repeat this with the other sails in a clockwise direction until all four of the sails are threaded on the plastic shaft.
Step 6Thread the flower washer onto the plastic shaft to hold the sails in position.
Step 7Place the plastic washer over the shaft to secure the flower washer and windmill in place. Insert the straw into the plastic shaft.
Pull the back of the windmill forward so that it is not resting against the plastic shaft. This will help it to spin!
