Scratch Board

Scratch the smooth scratch board surface and your drawings will appear in multicolour! Super easy to experiment with different designs and patterns and lots of fun!

Scratch Board Heart Valentine’s Day Card

Will you be my Valentine? It’ll be hard to refuse when given this beautiful card using our scratch board hearts!
  • Step 1Use the scratch board tools to create a design on a heart. Start with a border and then add a nice message to the centre.
  • Step 2Take a sheet of cardboard and fold in half to create the card. Use the permanent pen to cover the front of the card in love hearts.
  • Step 3Cut 2 small squares of construction foam and use glue dots to attach to the front of the card. One will sit near the top, middle of the card while the other will be closer to the bottom middle. These will act as props to raise the scratch board heart off the background of the card.
  • Step 4String a length of yarn through the hole in the scratch board heart, making it long enough to sit nicely on the card when attached with a glue dot to the top construction foam square.
  • Step 5Cut out a cardboard heart large enough to cover the top construction foam square. Decorate with the permanent pen and attach in place using a glue dot to complete your card. Write a nice message inside and give to someone special!
